Democratic candidate for Commissioner of the Revenue in Stafford fined over $2,000

The Democratic candidate for Commissioner of the Revenue in Stafford has been fined $2,100 for not filing campaign finance reports in August, September and October.  Three certified letters were sent to Lorena Bruner from Stafford Registrar Anna Hash.

The letters say that Bruner’s campaign, Friends of Lorena Bruner, was first assessed a $100 a penalty for not filing an August finance report. The August 5th letter states, “Any subsequent reports that are not filed on time in this cycle will result in a $1,000 fine.”

Bruner’s campaign was then fined $1,000 for not filing the September report then another $1,000 for not meeting the October deadline.  Certified letters were sent October 5th and October 31st.

Bruner is running for commissioner against incumbent Scott Mayausky.
