Election results: Durant slight lead on Griffin. Spotsy School Board flips. Two new members of City Council

Statewide:  Democrats hold control of the Virginia Senate.  Democrats regain control of the House of Delegates.

Virginia Senate:  Republican Tara Durant leads Democrat Joel Griffin 48-46%.  About 1600 votes separate the two.  Republican Bryce Reeves wins the 28th. Republican Richard Stuart wins the 25th.

Virginia House:  Democrat Josh Cole beat Lee Peters.  Republican Paul Milde won.

Spotsylvania:  

School Board:  Jackson over Twigg with 57%.   Daniels re-elected with 56%.  Medawar beat Ross with 51%.  Rodas beat Lynch with 52%

Board of Supervisors:   Childress wins in Chancellor. Mullins in Courtland, Lane in Livingston and Frazier in Salem

Sheriff:   Harris re-elected in a landslide

Court Clerk:  Jett re-elected in a landslide

Stafford:

Board of Supervisors:  Digges beat Coen in George Washington by about 200 votes.  Allen re-elected in Griffis-Widewater.  Vanuch in a landslide in Rock Hill.

School Board:   Randall, Warner and Healy win re-election

Commission of Revenue: Mayausky in a landslide

Fredericksburg

McIntosh and Holmes win seats on City Council.  Kelly falls about 140 votes short.

Culpeper: Chilton elected Sheriff.  Jenkins who faces charges received only 20% of the vote
