Thank you to everyone who has already dropped off their drooping jack-o-lanterns and pumpkins! Our soil thanks you and they are one less thing getting put in plastic and dumped in a landfill!
We are collecting pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and any other gourds all through the month of November!
Keeping them out of a landfill not only helps the soil (and gives us surprise pumpkins next year!) but also keeps them out of our landfills which is important because in a landfill, pumpkins and other organic materials are buried and rot without oxygen, which creates the potent greenhouse gas methane.
So grab those wilting cucurbits, bring them down to 206 Charles Street and drop them in the wheelbarrow by our office!
