We give a big shout-out to @GiantFood for its annual donation of 1,000 turkeys for the holiday season and thank the local store managers who came to the Food Bank today to pose with some of the birds that will end up on holiday tables!
Thanks to this generous donation, other turkey donations we expect to receive, and our own purchasing of turkeys, we hope to satisfy the high demand for holiday turkeys and trimmings as we share these items with our network of partner pantries and conduct our own large-scale Turkeys & Toys distribution at Virginia Credit Union Stadium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16.
