A through truck restriction is now posted on Route 206 (Dahlgren Road) in King George County between Route 3 (Kings Highway) and Route 301 (James Madison Parkway).
VDOT has posted signs along the route to notify travelers of the through truck restriction, which is in effect along the entire 9.23 miles of Dahlgren Road.
The alternate route for northbound and southbound trucks will be Route 3 and Route 301, a distance of nearly 13 miles.
The through truck restriction on Route 206 was posted at the request of the King George County Board of Supervisors and approved by the Commonwealth Transportation Board.
Travelers can view VDOT’s online map to see posted through truck restriction locations around the state.
