7th District Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger inviteshigh school students from across the District to submit original artwork for the annual Congressional Art Competition.

Every year, Members of the U.S. House of Representatives hold an art competition to recognize and celebrate the artistic talents of high school students from each congressional district. The winning artwork from each district is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year alongside winners from all 50 states.

Student entries may include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photography. All entries must be original in concept, design, and execution and may not violate any U.S. copyright laws.

Any high school student who resides in Virginia’s Seventh District may submit one piece for consideration. Spanberger’s office will host an art show with students and judges in the spring to select a winner.

To submit, students can drop off submissions to either the Congresswoman’s Woodbridge or Fredericksburg district offices by Monday, March 18, 2024.

Spanberger’s Fredericksburg office is located at 1380 Central Park Blvd. Suite 201. Fredericksburg, 22401

Spanberger’s Prince William County office is located at 2241D Tackets Mill Drive, Woodbridge. 22192
