Fredericksburg Area Running Club praises King George Fire and Rescue

by | Apr 8, 2024 | Outdoors, Police and Fire, Sports, Ted Schubel

The scene:   The Sheetz to Sheetz Trail Run Saturday morning in King George

The problem:  A tree was down in the middle of the trail

Here’s the FARC post:

Minutes before the start, we learned of a massive 31″ tree down at mile 6. By the time the first runner got there, Battalion Chief Hynson and the Engine crew from King George Fire & Rescue Company 1 had cleared a way for our runners, wheelchair teams, and support vehicles. Thank you, King George County (Va) Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services for saving the day!!
