The Orange Sheriff’s Office says they will soon begin targeted enforcement along the 522 corridor to Lake Anna, adding extra resources to ensure roads are safe for all. Authorities say Zachary Taylor Hwy is a major thoroughfare for vacationers going to Lake Anna. The area is well traveled by local citizens and farmers alike.
The Sheriff’s Office says areas in particular to be mindful of are the intersections of Lahore Rd, Independence Rd, and Constitution Hwy. The first two intersections are on blind hills and Constitution Hwy can become congested during peak traffic times.
The Sheriff’s Office says–“Please follow all rules of the road, put on your seat belt and keep your phone out of your hand. Consider this your warning…”
