Several roads in and around downtown Fredericksburg will be closed Sunday morning as the city hosts the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon. On Monday, City officials released a map detailing road closures for the annual event, which draws thousands of runners and spectators.
Various streets in downtown Fredericksburg will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5:30-8:35 a.m. Sophia Street will be closed from 12:01-10 a.m. Also, there will be no parking on the downtown course from 12:01-10 a.m. Cowan Boulevard will be closed from 12:01-11 a.m.
The area in Central Park near the start and finish lines will be closed for entry and exit from 5:30-10:15 a.m.
