Hurricane Helene will remain west of the Appalachians, not playing a direct role in the Fredericksburg weather.
However, it will send Fredericksburg a few areas of rain from its far outer reaches during Friday, and there will be some humid breezes from the southeast.
Sun comes back on Saturday with temperatures edging into the 80s; be on the lookout for spotty showers on Sunday.
After more nuisance showers Monday and Tuesday, a sunnier period follows for the second half of next week, and nights will cool into the 50s starting on Wednesday night.
