Stafford Swift Water Rescue aims to keep waters safe on summer weekends

by | May 29, 2025 | Outdoors, Police and Fire, Stafford, Ted Schubel

Stafford Fire and Rescue says continuing throughout the summer on the weekends, swift water rescue personnel will be out at Falmouth Beach/Historic Port of Falmouth, as a water rescue standby to help mitigate any emergency incidents.

Stafford Fire and Rescue’s Facebook page says:

Emergency incidents are not uncommon in these areas and others along the Rappahannock River. Some weekends, crews will also be assisting further up the river.

If you plan to head out to the Rappahannock this summer, please help us help you by wearing a life jacket and making sure your water craft is suitable for the water conditions and swift currents.
