The City of Fredericksburg is seeking a Junior Reporter to take part in the upcoming FOX 5 Zip Trip filming. This is a unique opportunity for a local student to be featured on air and help showcase what makes Fredericksburg special.
FOX 5 DC will feature Fredericksburg as part of its Zip Trip series, with a live broadcast scheduled for July 25, from 7–11 a.m. at Riverfront Park (713 Sophia Street)
Zip Trip highlights communities across the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region, focusing on local businesses, culture, events, and the people who make each destination special. Fredericksburg will be in the spotlight during this special broadcast, reaching viewers throughout the region.
Residents and visitors are invited to attend and enjoy the energy of a live television production. The broadcast will feature interviews, segments on local attractions, and opportunities for community members to participate on camera.
Interested students are invited to submit a short video introducing themselves and explaining why they would be a great Junior Reporter. The selected student will join the Zip Trip team on-site, interact with FOX 5 staff and represent Fredericksburg during the live broadcast.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with local vendors, enjoy product samples and take part in the filming, with the possibility of appearing on air during the live segments.

Community members are encouraged to arrive early and take part in this celebration of local culture, commerce, and community pride.
