Low storm chances until next week

Cooler the following weekend
A legitimate heat wave starts on Friday, with afternoons consistently in the middle to upper 90s this weekend and into the middle of next week. The high humidity will keep things from cooling off as much at night, holding low temperatures in the low to middle 70s.
The chances of cooling showers and thunderstorms are not zero, but they are low. Remember to hydrate and find shaded spots when outside over the next several days.
A larger system approaches late next week, which will increase the chance for showers and thunderstorms substantially on Thursday and Friday, leading to a larger break in the heat and humidity for the first weekend in August.
Normal temperatures next week:
Highs: Upper 80s
Lows: UpperĀ 60s
