Cooler nights continue through next week
A large mass of cooler and less humid air moves into the Fredericksburg region from the north on Friday, leading to a much more comfortable weekend to be outside.
After some lingering clouds on Friday, the rest of the weekend brings sunshine and some fair weather clouds, with no chance of rain returning until next week.
Nights will drop into the low 60s, with some upper 50s likely Saturday and Sunday nights in the more rural parts of Stafford, Spotsylvania, and Caroline counties.
The big heat of last week will be gone for at least a week. Afternoons next week will average in the lower to middle 80s, and be on the lookout for some soaking rain toward the middle of next week.
