  • Bus loop resolution
  • Policy updates

It is recommended that the school board approve the resolution to direct the Virginia Department of Transportation to abandon certain segments of the old bus loop and accept the new segments of the bus loop as identified into the Secondary System of State Highways. The school division completed construction of the King George Middle School and this construction caused relocation of State Route 9951 (the Middle School bus loop). VDOT is prepared to abandon the demolished segments and accept the new segments of State Route 9951  into the Secondary System of State Highways.

Board of supervisors meeting, Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.

  • Dahlgren Innovation Hub rezoning request
  • Daisy Lane Solar special exception request

Get the memo

The board will consider a special exception application from Dahlgren Innovation Hub, LLC to construct a data center and accessory uses on approximately 497 acres. The permit would increase building height beyond zoning limits. Permit walls and fences would go up to 50 feet in height to screen outdoor equipment. The property is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 301 and Washington Mill Road, and includes four parcels. Approval of the Special Exception is contingent on the approval of a rezoning application. The applicant also requested a finding that proposed electric substations are in accord with the county’s comprehensive plan.
