Sandra (Sannie) Lee Breaux, 67, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 7, 1958, in Portland, Oregon, to Harold and Wanda Harrison. A devoted member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, she was baptized at age 11 and again as an adult. Sannie served as a church organist and sang in many choirs. She sang special music for church numerous times with her two sisters. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in her roles as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.
She attended Tualatin Valley Adventist Junior Academy, Monument Valley Mission School, Laurelwood Adventist Academy, Rio Lindo Adventist Academy, Pacific Union College for pre-nursing, and graduated from Bismarck School of Nursing with a three-year diploma.
Sannie answered the call, with her parents and sisters, to be missionaries for the SDA church at Monument Valley Mission and Hospital on the Navajo Nation. She was an honorary member of the Navajo Nation.
Sannie enjoyed singing in the Rappahannock Choral Society. She was featured playing harmonica and whistling, along with singing. Sannie was a beacon of faith and kindness throughout her life.
Sannie is survived by her husband, Ralph J. Breaux; her mother, Wanda Perterson; her sons, Asa and Heath Barstad; her sisters, Marie Oglevie and her husband, Randy, and Jenae Herrera; her stepchildren, Rhonda Witherspoon, Rosalind Jackson, and her husband, Steve, and Ralph Breaux, and his wife, Tammy Breaux; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
