Stratford Hall Historic Preserve in Westmoreland is making history more accessible to the public. The site has updated and reinstalled its Road to Revolution and Civil War Trails markers, relocating them to Stratford Hall Road where they can be viewed for free—no admission required.

The project is part of the Northern Neck’s 250th Semiquincentennial effort to expand public access to historic interpretation across the region.
Stratford Hall President Karen Daly says the new location allows more visitors to engage with the site’s people and past, with the Great House in clear view.
Stratford Hall is one of 22 Road to Revolution sites in Virginia and more than 1,500 Civil War Trail locations across six states.
