For the second straight year, Virginia Credit Union Stadium will host the Collegiate Clash, a non-conference baseball matchup between the University of Virginia and the University of Maryland.
This year’s event will take place Tuesday with the first pitch scheduled for 5:35 p.m. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.
The Cavaliers and Terrapins are former Atlantic Coast Conference rivals, but Maryland moved to the Big Ten in 2014.
Virginia (20-5) is ranked No. 9 in the latest Division I Top 25 poll. The Cavaliers are coming off a 2-1 series victory over rival Virginia Tech this past weekend. Maryland (11-12) is on a four-game losing streak, including three defeats to Big Ten foe UCLA this past Friday through Sunday.
