Anne Little says the new trees will help stabilize the hillside, fight erosion, and cool the surrounding area. She says the plantings will also create habitat for caterpillars like Luna Moths and Tiger Swallowtails—helping attract birds such as Blue Jays, Pine Warblers, Wood Ducks, and American Goldfinches.
