It has been six years since the South East Street Neighborhood Watch has sponsored a tour of homes on the street. Since that time, several of the homes in the neighborhood have found new caretakers who have spent a great amount of time, effort, and investment to bring their homes back to their former glory so they can ultimately be passed on to the next generation of caretakers. This year, there are seven homes ranging from Victorian to Italianate to Cape Cod styles.

Listed on the National Historic Registry, South East Street is one of the oldest existing residential areas in Culpeper. Formerly called “Black Street” it contains some of the town’s finest homes in a wide variety of architectural styles popular between 1835 and 1955.

Tickets for the Tour are $20 when purchased by December 6th and are available online at culpepertours.com.
