Brock Brimhall threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Colonial Forge High School football team thumped visiting Patriot 32-7 Friday night.

Brimhall completed 13 of 21 passes for 221 yards. His 52-yard strike to Jeremiah Wise opened the scoring in the first quarter, and he later connected with TaySean Jones from 19 yards out in the third quarter.

“Brock took care of the ball and made good decisions,” Eagles head coach John Brown said. “In particular, he ran the ball well.”

Jones finished with four receptions for 88 yards. Torie Martin added a 44-yard touchdown run in the fourth period, and Forge’s defense forced five turnovers.

“Our defense has been playing really well to start the season,” Brown said. “Patriot always has a good offensive line and a good scheme, so it was certainly a big test for us.”

The game was a rematch of last season’s Region 6B championship game, which the Eagles won 42-14.
