The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is holding an informational meeting to discuss design aspects of the Dixon Connector Trail. The trail project, which was unveiled in June, will connect lower Caroline Street and Dixon Park in Mayfield and is funded entirely through VDOT’s Smart Scale program. The project also calls for on-street bike accommodations on Caroline Street, starting near the train station.

School Board members will begin their evening Tuesday with a budget roundtable discussion with PTO/PTA and Head Start Policy Council representatives, and continue into a work session that will also include more fiscal conversation.
