Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center will hold its annual Save Jane event Friday at Market Square in downtown Fredericksburg, beginning at noon. The awareness campaign uses the name “Jane Doe” and “John Doe” to represent children in the community who have suffered abuse and neglect.
Each child’s age is read aloud, reminding the public of the very real people behind the statistics. Safe Harbor works year-round to support children and families in crisis, while also promoting prevention. safeharborva.org
