Potomac Drive (Route 614) in King George County will close to through traffic between Bennion Road and Commerce Drive during the daytime hours on Monday and Tuesday, per Virginia Department of Transportation.
Crews will be installing a drainage pipe to reduce flooding and standing water on the road. It will be closed in the 4300 block from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Potomac will reopen at 3 p.m. Monday with stone covering the new drainage pipe. On Tuesday, crews will close the road again to replace the stone with asphalt.
Travelers seeking to access driveways on Potomac between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday will be able to do so by entering and exiting the road from the Commerce Drive intersection.
