Talented student musicians from Brooke Point, Colonial Forge, Mountain View, North Stafford, and Stafford High Schools will take the field for the 15th Annual Band Together to Fight Hunger on Monday, November 3, at 7 p.m. at Mountain View High School. This milestone anniversary event will bring all five high school marching bands together for one night of music, community, and giving.
The community is invited to join Stafford County Public Schools in celebrating 15 years of Band Together to Fight Hunger and supporting local families in need. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit Stafford Emergency Relief through Volunteer Efforts (SERVE) and local Stafford County food pantries. All monetary sponsorships and funds raised will support the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank. This year’s goal is to provide 50,000 meals for Stafford County and the surrounding community.
Community business partners will present donations to the five high school drum majors and the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank during the program. The evening will conclude with a powerful grand finale featuring all five marching bands performing together under the direction of guest conductor Anne Rutt, Stafford Schools Coordinator for Visual and Performing Arts and a former band director.
