LISTEN: Mary Washington Healthcare adds Thrombectomy stroke treatment

Mary Washington Healthcare has expanded neurological care at Mary Washington Hospital by adding thrombectomy capabilities and opening a new neurointerventional suite, bringing lifesaving, advanced stroke treatment directly to the Fredericksburg region. Led by cerebrovascular neurosurgeon Dr. John Muse, the program uses cutting-edge imaging and minimally invasive techniques to remove clots quickly, reduce disability, and allow more stroke patients to be treated close to home. We talked with Dr. Muse and Stroke Program Manager Susan Halpin.
