Meeting with state reporters, Warner urged the Trump administration to crack down on what he calls “personalized surveillance pricing,” a practice where retailers could use consumer behavior and interest to charge different prices to different shoppers.
Warner says says advances in artificial intelligence could make the practice more widespread and harder for consumers to detect.
