In a year marked by big harvests, the final one of 2025 stood out. Saturday morning, 60 volunteers gathered nearly a ton of produce at the Rappahannock Education Farm in White Oak. Rich Larochelle says crews harvested 1,948 pounds of cabbage, kale, collards and turnips.
That brought the year’s total to 43,085 pounds of locally grown food donated to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank and area pantries. Every seed planted and every crop harvested was done by volunteer hands—proof of what a committed community can grow together.
