Fredericksburg City Schools are offering free meals for school-aged students on Thursday and Friday afternoons while schools remain closed due to weather conditions.
Meals can be picked up at James Monroe High School (2300 Washington Avenue) from 2-4 p.m.
In an announcement, the school division noted that a parent or adult relative can pick up the meals and will need to provide students’ names. Students do not need to be present.
The announcement also mentions that Renatos, a downtown Fredericksburg restaurant, will offer free pasta meals for children between 3-6 p.m.
