The James Bazen Project performs Saturday, April 11, at the Cabaret at Fredericksburg Square, 525 Caroline St., Fredericksburg. Dinner seating begins at 6 p.m., followed by the jazz quartet’s performance at 8 p.m.

Woodwind specialist, composer and producer James Bazen has played clubs and concerts across the country. His jazz quartet includes himself on soprano saxophone and woodwinds; Steve Dorman with piano and vocals; Scott Giambusso on bass and George Jones on drums.

A typical performance includes jazz classics and unique interpretations of pop music from the the 60’s through the decades to today’s hits. “We like to do things just a little bit different for our
listeners,” Bazen said. The group enjoys taking a traditional jazz tune or pop song and playing it with a different sound.

Tickets are $50 each, and must be purchased in advance. Call 540-373-9601.
