As a salute to healthcare workers, first responders, and other essential personnel on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, a COVID Appreciation Flight Team flying World War II era Stearman PT-17 flew in a 5-ship formation over Stafford Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
The pilots are all Virginia residents and members of the Mid-Atlantic Stearman Association.
