COVID-19 vaccine given to some Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center frontline workers

by | Dec 16, 2020 | Health care

From Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center:

Today we started administering #COVID-19 #vaccines to front line workers at #spotsrmc, so they can continue to do their jobs while protecting their patients, family members, and communities from exposure. David McKnight, chief executive officer at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, comments on this significant moment in the fight against COVID-19 in our community:

“Today is such a historic moment! After months of seeing the impact of COVID-19 and the anguish and exhaustion on our care givers faces, we finally see the excitement and hope that the vaccine has delivered. Today is a gift! For that I am thankful and overcome with gratitude for each and every person that puts their lives on the line every day to care like family for our patients.”

Seen here is Blake, BSN RN in the ICU, and Dr. Correia, ER physician, who were the first two people to receive the vaccine at Spotsy.
