Traffic info for Marine Corps Half this weekend

The Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) reminds the public that the Marine Corps Historic Half Events will be running live and in-person this Sunday in Fredericksburg causing some road closures and delays. Over 5,000 runners will begin running either the Marine Corps Historic Half (13.1 miles), Semper 5ive (5 miles) or Devil Dog Double (18.1 miles) at 6:00 a.m., with the last participant estimated to finish around 10:00 a.m. Significant delays should be expected between 4:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on event day.

There will be a large number of temporary and rolling road closures throughout the city of Fredericksburg on Sunday:

Parking and Shuttle Information:
All participants and spectators should park in the Central Park Shopping Complex on Sunday morning and walk to the Historic Half start line on Carl D. Silver Parkway near the intersection with Gordon W. Shelton Drive.

Semper 5ive participants will park in the Central Park Shopping Complex and catch a free shuttle to the Semper 5ive start line located at James Monroe High School. The shuttles will pick up runners on Hospitality Lane, near the Hilton Garden Inn. The first bus will depart at 4:00 a.m., with the last one leaving at 5:15 a.m. Any spectators who accompany their runner to James Monroe High School will be responsible for finding transportation back to the finish area.
