Celebrate Independence Day at George Washington’s boyhood home! Play colonial games, tour the Washington House, meet a George Washington reenactor, watch a flag retirement ceremony, talk with archaeologists around an active dig site, take a selfie with B101.5’s Buzzy the Bee, make crafts, explore different historical encamped military units — and much more! Food trucks on-site.

Flag retirement ceremony is at 1 pm.

Just $1.00 per person, ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under free. Purchase tickets on-site, cash or credit card. No advance ticket sales.

Shuttles will run between the Eagles Lodge parking lot on Cool Springs Road and Ferry Farm, Patawomeck Museum & Cultural Center, and Fourth in Fredericksburg events. Handicap parking only available onsite at Ferry Farm. Additional parking is located at the Eagles lot and Patawomeck Museum & Cultural Center.

Event is rain or shine. No pets permitted on site at this event, excluding service dogs.  No coolers and no alcohol permitted.
