Community Canvas is excited to announce the October exhibition Found which will be on view from October 1 – 28 in the atrium at the Rappahannock Regional Library located on Caroline Street in downtown Fredericksburg.

The work for this exhibition was made during a May workshop held by Community Canvas which welcomed members of the Fredericksburg Arts Commission, St. Georgians, and community members who answered the call for the collaboration.

The workshop was inspired by the found object work of Louise Nevelson. The experimental and playful works on view at the library were made from objects donated by those attending the gathering.

This exhibition showcases what is made when organizations like Community Canvas, an art advocacy project that seeks to serve underrepresented members of our community invites the broader community to come out and create together.
