This year the country life and entertaining that the Melchers’ treasured at Belmont inspires Home for the Holidays. Drawing from the couple’s artwork and decorative objects, we‘ve integrated representations of the gifts from The Twelve Days of Christmas throughout the home. The interpretation of the birds and people named in the lyrics are debated, and likewise some of our allusions are clear and some are subtle. Bring your imagination to discover the gifts of “true love” in the Melchers’ collections.
