Do you want your kids to learn how to kayak? Or perhaps you would like them to experience the environment in a unique way on the water. Children 8+ years old and their families are welcome to come to this special Kids to Parks event where all will learn about water safety, paddling skills, and viewing nature from a kayak. Each child under 18 years old must have an adult paired with them. The group will meet at the Aquia Creek paddle launch at 8:30am to debrief and get in the water by 9:00am. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and water!

The use of personal floatation devices is required at all times while on the water. You can either bring your own or the park will supply them free of charge. You are welcome to use your own kayak as well, if desired.

Pre-registration is required. Spots are limited and are first come, first serve. You can register here. Payment is $10/person and will be collected at the Visitor Center on the day of the event.
