Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in Virginia with a living history event at George Washington’s Ferry Farm! Inside the Washington House, delve into the years leading up to the revolution, culminating in the pivotal year of 1774.

In each room, interactive living history stations will portray various aspects of 18th-century life. Guests can try their hand at a card game while learning about the Stamp Act or watch a dance demonstration to gain insight into 18th-century social life. Learn why this significant period spurred Virginians, including George Washington, to rally behind the revolutionary cause.

The Washington House will be open for timed, ticketed entry between 10:00am-12:00pm, 1:00-3:00pm, and 4:00-5:00pm. Tours begin every 20 minutes during these times. Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled start time in order to check in at the Visitor Center and walk to the Washington House.

Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended for house tours, as each time slot is limited. Access to the visitor center and grounds is included in ticket price.

The Ferry Farm Visitor Center and grounds are open 10:00am-5:00pm. Grounds only admission tickets are available day of at the Visitor Center front desk.
