You are an integral part of our celebratory Bowl for Kids’ Sake event! Put together a bowling team and invite family and friends to donate toward your fundraising pages OR support us by donating to a bowler or team!

Bowlers who meet the fundraising minimums will enjoy 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, BBBS T-Shirt, pizza, and a chance to win our exclusive raffle prizes!

Select your timeslot upon online registration. Bowling dates/times include: Thursday, February 29 from 4pm-6pm or 6:30pm-8:30pm, or Saturday, March 2 from 12pm-2pm.

Women and Power in Renaissance Italy (Free Lecture)

Dr. Alyson Poska, professor emerita of UMW, will speak about the rise to power of Italian noblewomen during the fifteenth century. Often overlooked by history, women such as Caterina Sforza and Elenaora d’Aragona engaged in diplomacy, ruled in their husbands’ steads and famously fought off challenges to their authority. Lecture is free; donations accepted. Reception at 6:30, lecture begins at 7. Enter at George Street (side door). Retired professor of History and Women’s Studies at UMW, Dr. Poska has been recognized for her leadership in both the academic and local communities. The Fredericksburg-Este Association, sponsor of the lecture, is a sister city partner with Este, Italy.
