Join our Park Rangers as they discuss the history, ecology, and culture of the Widewater Peninsula. Travel in a solo kayak or grab a partner and paddle in a tandem.

This program is limited to 10 participants, so registration is required. Children 6-12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the boat, and children 13-17 may paddle solo but must be under the supervision of a parent/guardian. All paddlers are required to wear a properly fitted personal floatation device (PFD). Be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen, and dress to get wet!

Pre-registration and payment is required. Spots are limited and are first come, first serve. Payment is $20/person including equipment rental and parking. Call the Visitor Center at (540)288-1400 to pay over the phone and sign up for the event here. Registration over email will not be accepted.

Arrive at the Visitor Center at least 20 minutes prior to the start time to check-in before heading over to the Aquia Creek paddle launch for setup.

In case of inclement weather, call the Visitor Center about cancellation and payment details.
