Join the Fredericksburg Walking Club for a spring walk through Historic Orange, VA! Walk at your own pace along a 3-mile or 6-mile route, starting anytime between 9:30AM and 1PM (finishing by 3PM), or join us for our Group Walk at 10:30AM.

$3 to Walk ($1 extra for AVA/IVV credit, if desired).

Dating back to 1749 as an unincorporated town, Orange was a courthouse town and railroad stop. It saw activity during the Revolutionary War and Civil War. In 1992, Orange became a designated Virginia Main Street community, and in 1999, the Orange Commercial Historic District was listed in the National Register.

The walk route will take you past the courthouse, the Wilbur Theater built in 1915, the James Madison Museum of Orange County Heritage, and many more historic buildings and beautiful homes and gardens.
