Enjoy a springtime journey on board a special passenger train excursion on the  Virginia Scenic Railway departing from Louisa, Virginia traveling over approximately fifty miles of the Buckingham Branch Railway (former C&O Railway) between Doswell and Gordonsville through the scenic countryside of Central Virginia.  This line last saw regular passenger service with Amtrak’s James Whitcomb Riley, Newport News Section which was discontinued on June 14, 1976.  For full details on this special train sponsored by DCNRHS and to make reservations, please visit the DCNRHS web site at www.dcnrhs.org.   Capacity is limited so make your reservation soon so you don’t miss out!
