Curitiba Art Café, an amalgamation of a furniture store and coffee shop, opens its doors at 919 Caroline Street in a few weeks.
Pimenta is expected to seat 64 diners and will also include a bar to treat patrons to tropical-island and local beverages.
The Diner held two pre-opening friends and family nights to benefit the Fredericksburg SPCA and Blue Star Mothers Fredericksburg Chapter, raising $6,100 and $6,150 respectively.

FoodE won the top prize of Sandwich King in Fredericksburg’s inaugural Sandwich Invitational at Hurkamp Park Thursday evening. The title came with $750. Their winning creation was a chili rubbed boneless beef short rib on a local roll with wild greens and Hyperion Espresso Aioli.
