Downtown museum will use grant funds to mount a new exhibition on the area’s Black history called ‘Living Legacies.’
February events highlight culture, creativity and contributions of African Americans.
Exhibit is a multisensory walk through the histories, challenges and joys of the queer community in the Fredericksburg region.
Lafayette’s World: Revolutionary Ideals and the Limits of Freedom opens Friday from 5-7:30 p.m.
The grand reopening will also launch the museum’s new hours.
Objects will be reviewed and accepted March 11 – 18, 2017.
