The Fredericksburg Democratic Committee is holding a City Council Candidate Forum at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in the community room of the Free Lance-Star. The event is free and open to the public.
“We have invited all candidates to speak, including those running unopposed, so they may share their vision for the future of Fredericksburg and answer any questions,” said Jason Graham, chairman of the Fredericksburg Democratic Committee.

A tax increase is needed in the City of Fredericksburg agreed three City Council candidates who participated in Wednesday evening’s candidate forum, hosted by the Fredericksburg Democratic Committee.

William C. “Billy” Withers is running unopposed for the Ward 2 City Council seat in the Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Fredericksburg General Election. George Solley currently holds the seat. His term expires June 30, 2014, and he is not running for reelection.
