You’re going to have a tough time deciding what to do this weekend. It’s one of those with more events than hours available. Browse our selected weekend events, click the hyperlinks for more details, and have the most fun you can.

Spring Richmond Restaurant Week

The three-course prix fixe menus at 30 or so restaurants during Richmond Restaurant Weeks will cost you $29.15 per person

The Richmond Ballet and the UMW Philharmonic
Friday, April 24, 7:30 p.m.
University of Mary Washington, 1301 College Ave., George Washington Hall, Dodd Auditorium.
Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online at philharmonic.umw.edu or by calling 540-654-1324.

White House Spring Garden Tours
Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 26, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
White House. 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington, DC. Entry for the Garden Tours will begin at Sherman Park, located just south of the Department of the Treasury.
The event is open to the public; however, a ticket is required for all attendees, including small children. The National Park Service will distribute free, timed tickets at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion located at 15th and E Streets on tour days beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tickets will be distributed — one ticket per person — on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eagle Fest at Mason Neck State Park
Saturday, April 25, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Mason Neck State Park, 7301 High Point Rd., Lorton, Va. 22079-4010
Live wildlife shows, guided hikes, kayaking, archery lessons, pony rides, live music and more.
Food and drinks available for purchase from the Lions Club.
Free Admission.

Gnarly Hops & Barley Fest
Saturday, April 25, 12 – 6 p.m.
Spencer Street Lot, Downtown Culpeper, Va.
Gnarly local eats. Live music. Beer tastings.
$25 advanced ticket online at Eventbrite.
$5 non-drinking tickets will be available for purchase at the gate on the day of the event.

James Monroe’s Birthday Celebration
Saturday, April 25, 1 p.m.
James Monroe Museum, 908 Charles St., Fredericksburg
Music, cake and punch in the garden.
Free.

CRRL Con: A Comic Book Convention
Saturday, April 25, 1 – 5 p.m.
England Run Library, 806 Lyons Blvd., Fredericksburg
An afternoon of comic books, comic book artists, illustrators, Star Wars villains, games and more.

Groundbreaking at George Washington’s Ferry Farm
Saturday, April 25, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Ferry Farm, 268 Kings Hwy., Fredericksburg
Groundbreaking ceremony for the multi-year venture to physically develop George Washington’s boyhood home at Ferry Farm.
Free.

Lake Anna’s First Sunset Concert of the Season
Saturday, April 25, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
13703 Anna Point Lane, Mineral, Va. 23117 (Spotsylvania County)
Live bands and the best views of Lake Anna’s famed sunsets the 4th Saturday April through August. Badminton and Corn Hole. Food, wine and beer are available for purchase. Come by boat or land! Family friendly.
Free admission.

The Fredericksburg Walk to Cure Diabetes
Sunday, April 26. Registration for the 5K begins at 12:30 p.m. The walk begins at 2 p.m.
Dixon Park, 1300 Dixon Rd., Fredericksburg.

Colonial Revival Movement at Belmont
Sunday, April 26, 2 p.m.
Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont, 224 Washington St., Falmouth
Belmont Site Preservation Manager Beate Jensen traces the Colonial Revival from its emergence in the 1870s through an illustrated presentation. Listen to her “Town Talk” podcast.

Mid-Atlantic Wind Symphony
Sunday, April 26, 7:30 p.m.
Fredericksburg Academy, 10800 Academy Dr., Fredericksburg
The performance will include works by Virginia composers David Long (University of Mary Washington), Mark Camphouse (George Mason University), and David Bobrowicz (Richmond). Northern Virginia composer Brian Scarbrough will premier a new composition.
Tickets are $15 at the door.
