The musical comedy known as the “Sesame Street for grown-ups” tells the story of Princeton, a hope-filled college graduate who moves to New York to find his purpose in life.
Tickets are $24; $20 for students, senior citizens, military and alumni.

Jingle Bell Cocktail Party
Friday, Nov. 20, 6:30 – 10 p.m.

Guests enjoy their Merry Market shopping with friends while enjoying a cocktail or two, passed hor d’oeurves and a silent auction. Ticket includes two cocktails, hors d’oeurves, swag bag and parting gift.

UMW Women’s Basketball Home Opener

Civil War Dance Lessons
Friday, Nov. 20, 7 – 10 p.m.
Marshall Center, 8800 Courthouse Rd., Spotsylvania
Dances from the Civil War era will be taught to anyone willing to learn. No partners required or special dress needed besides slick bottom shoes. Teachers will be from the Civil War Civilians of Spotsylvania County that are involved in dance demonstrations at most Civil War events in the area.

Gobble Wobble 5k
Saturday, Nov. 21, 8 – 11 a.m.
Westmoreland State Park, 1650 State Park Rd., Montross
Join the Friends of the Westmoreland State Park for its 3rd annual Gobble Wobble 5k. Strollers are not permitted for safety reasons, but afterwards, the Tot Trot will be held for those 6 and under.
Race day registration: $20

Craft Fair
Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Rappahannock Area Community Services Board, 600 Jackson Street, Fredericksburg
YoungLives, a branch of the ministry of Young Life that mentors and supports teen moms in our community, and the Program for Teen Parents, a program of the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB), are hosting a craft fair to benefit the Childcare Assistance Fund. All proceeds from the purchase of vendor spaces benefit the Childcare Assistance Fund.

Fredericksburg Area Service League’s Merry Market
Saturday, Nov. 21, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Fredericksburg Country Club, 11031 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg
Merry Market is a shopping extravaganza, bringing together smaller, boutique-style vendors with a variety of unique and custom items.
Admission: $4 online, $5 at the door. Children under 12 are free.

CYT Presents Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids
Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. (Repeats on Saturday, Nov. 28)
Spotsylvania High School, 6975 Courthouse Rd. Spotsylvania
“101 Dalmatians” is FREE with your donation to either the Fredericksburg SPCA or the Stafford SPCA. Donation bins will be outside the auditorium doors to place your donation before you enter the theater.

Civil War Trail and Gilmore Farm Walking Tour
Saturday, Nov. 21, 2 p.m.
Montpelier, 11407 Constitution Highway, Montpelier Station, Va.
This tour takes visitors along an authentic Civil War trail used by McGowan’s Brigade, through a Confederate winter camp and a reconstructed camp street, and concluded with a tour of the cabin and farm of George Gilmore. Begins at 2 PM in the parking lot across from the Montpelier Station Train Depot on Route 20. Free.

Meadow Event Park Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village opens at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21

Owl Prowl
Saturday, Nov. 21, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Monticello, 931 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Charlottesville, Va.
Join seasoned birder Jerry Therrien listening to the hoots, wails, and shrieks of owls and learning about their habits. Hiking boots, water, binoculars, and flashlights are recommended. Registration required.
Registration: $18 per person

FXBG Brewhaha
Saturday, Nov. 21, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
A. Smith Bowman Distillery, 1 Bowman Dr., Fredericksburg
Craft beer and food pairing event to benefit Mary Washington Healthcare Regional Cancer Center.
Tickets: $75 per person, $140 per couple before the day of the event; $85 per person, $160 per couple on the day of the event.

Sprawl n Brawl 5
Saturday, Nov. 21, 6 – 11 p.m.
Meadow Event Park, Farm Bureau Center B Hall, 13111 Dawn Blvd., Doswell
Left Hook Entertainment Inc., a Richmond based company, presents amateur mixed martial arts.
Tickets, available online or at the event, are $25 for general admission, $300 for ring side.
