The Fredericksburg Economic Development Authority is accepting nominations for its four Excellence in Business awards, which will be presented at the annual Business Appreciation reception on May 5, 2016.

The categories are Emerging Business of the Year, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Cooperative Partnership and Community Service.

In addition, six businesses are in the running for Exceptional Façade Renovation and Revitalization. They are:
Lord & Lilly’s, 611 Caroline Street
Lydia’s Monogrammed Gifts & Stationery, 415 William Street
The Princess Anne Building, 904 Princess Anne Street,
The Commonwealth Building, 2601 Princess Anne Street
Mercantile, 205 William Street
Fraser Wood Elements, 820 Caroline Street

Only City of Fredericksburg (22401) businesses are eligible for recognition. “In general, nominees should be those whose business practices and professional conduct contribute to a sense of fellowship among all local businesses, and who help to promote Fredericksburg as a positive and excellent place in which to do business,” said Amy Peregoy, Economic Development specialist. The business must be active and in good standing with all departments of the city.

Nominations and voting are being accepted through April 1 via the Excellence in Business Awards online nomination form.
