Join the art galleries and studios of Fredericksburg for the First Friday Art Walk, taking place this month on the second Friday, Jan. 8, 2016.

Art First Gallery, 824 Caroline St., “Be My Guest” Each member artist will share his or her allotted exhibit space with an invited local artist not currently exhibiting at Art First Gallery. This is an opportunity to view the works of roughly 50 artists working in and around our area. Opening reception from 6 – 9 p.m.

Artful Dimensions Gallery, 911 Charles St., All Members Show. Opening reception at 6 p.m.

Art Mart, 1405 Princess Anne St., “True Grit” an all-female group show of street photography showcasing the City of Fredericksburg, “Postal International Mail Art Annual” featuring more than 100 mail art submissions from across the globe. Opening reception from 6 – 9 p.m.

Brush Strokes Gallery, 824 Caroline St., “Tribute to Rikki’s Refuge” a benefit show to support the more than 1,000 animals who live at the no-kill refuge in Orange County. Opening reception from 6 – 9 p.m.

810 Weekend Gallery, 810 Caroline St., Showcasing the works of Beverley Coates, Jen Callahan, Kathleen Willingham and Penny A. Parrish. Open from 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts, Frederick Gallery, 813 Sophia St, “The Power of Small,” juried by Diego Sanchez. Opening reception from 6 – 8:30 p.m

Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts, Members Gallery, 813 Sophia St, Art by Peggy Wickham and Nancy Wing. Opening reception from 6 – 8:30 p.m.

LibertyTown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty St., “Annual LibertyTown Student Show,” featuring art by LibertyTown students of all ages. Open from 5 – 9 p.m.

PONSHOP, 712 Caroline St., “2016 Holiday Hangover Party,” featuring fine art by Gabriel Pons, Maddie Huddle, and Sarah Lapp with ceramics by co-owner Scarlett Pons. Opening reception from 6 – 10 p.m.

Water Street Studio Writing and Arts, 915 A Sophia St., “The Mixed Media Works of Kathy Craddock,” by Kathy Craddock. Open from 5 – 8:30 p.m.
