State Department of Forestry foliage report

by | Nov 3, 2023 | Outdoors

Windy weather and cold temperatures have plunged the western half of Virginia past peak foliage. However, these areas will still have beautiful color for another week, especially from oaks, which turn color later in the season. In eastern Virginia, the party is just getting started! Look for hickories shining bright gold, burgundy oaks and sweetgums bursting with fiery reds.
